planet. Since she was a BABY, she has loved to be in the kitchen with me. From stirring empty bowls in her highchair, making ‘soup,’ making dinner, baking cakes, etc., you name it, she has wanted to be a part of it. She went through a phase of making ‘soup’, which entailed anything from grass, flowers, leaves, etc, anything she could get her hands on, putting it in a bowl, adding water, and stirring. She made soup SO much that one year for Christmas we just asked for bowls and child-size cooking utensils. We also almost made her an outdoor kitchen on the porch so she could just cook her ‘soup.’ It was a cute phase and a messy one haha.

As she has grown, her love of cooking has grown bigger. We LOVE watching Kids' Baking shows as a family. She has always been a very independent little person so when she wanted to cut something, with a knife, she wouldn’t want me to help her. So, I had to get creative and ended up ordering her some children's knives. She STILL uses them to this day.
Over the summer she wanted to bake and do her first-ever bake sale, so I assisted her in seeing that through. She made egg-free Apple Carrot muffins that she learned to make at a cooking camp this past summer 2023. We altered the recipe a bit, check it out, they are so good!
